Increase Brain Function
with a Frozen Summer Refresh Mocktail

I’m not sure about you, but this summer has been HOTTT! 

With the extreme heat, we tend to be more dehydrated, sluggish, tired, and *honestly* ready for a nap. So, I’ve teamed up with the one and only, Organic Olivia, to create a mocktail drink that is refreshing and can keep you feeling great even with all the heat. 

Now let’s talk ingredients:

Watermelon –

Watermelon is obviously very hydrating, which is great for brain health. But it also has Lycopene, which is an antioxidant that helps to reduce oxidative stress and helps to protect your brain health. 

Mint –

Not only is mint super refreshing, but it also stimulates hippocampus region of your brain, which helps with memory and mental clarity. 

Lemon – 

Lemon is known to help your gut health (yay for your gut-brain axis!), decreases inflammation, and has high amounts of vitamin C which helps prevent age-related decline in cognition.

White Tea – 

White tea is perfect for the summertime since it helps to protect your skin against UV damage. It is also known to have anti-inflammatory properties to reduce your risk in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

It’s SUPER easy to make! Just throw everything in a blender and pour into a serving glass! If you’re wanting to have the speckled-mint look to your drink, blend all the ingredients together without the mint, then add in the mint and blitz for a few more seconds.
